Built on strong union heritage and family values

A Legacy of Craftsmanship and Commitment

The Leibold family has a long history in the pipefitting and steamfitting industry. In 1954, Clayton’s grandfather, Lloyd Leibold, began his career as a pipefitter with Reading Local Union 42, working alongside his brother, Larry. Both advanced from welders to foremen and superintendents. Lloyd’s son, Brian Leibold, followed in their footsteps, starting his apprenticeship in 1974. Over the years, he progressed from welder to foreman, project manager, and part-owner of two union mechanical contractors. After 47 years as a LU420 steamfitter, Brian is now retired, spending his time hunting and fishing.

Today…

Leibold Inc.'s founder and president, Clayton Leibold, began his apprenticeship in 1997 and remains a certified pipe welder and 24-year LU420 member. He trained with two Reading-based union mechanical contractors, gaining experience as a welder, foreman, and project manager. Over the years, he managed high-profile, multi-million-dollar HVAC projects in the educational, industrial, and healthcare sectors. After a decade in the field, Clayton transitioned to project management and estimating. In March 2012, he founded Leibold Inc. in southern Schuylkill County, recognizing a need for honest, skilled tradesmen in the commercial HVAC industry.

Built on a strong union heritage and family values, Leibold Inc. continues to grow, providing top-quality HVAC services across Pennsylvania and beyond.
